Brady Martz
Alex Schwab, CPA, is a strategic leader in the accounting profession with a proven track record of driving growth through talent, technology, advisory services, and operational discipline. At Brady Martz, she leads the Strategic Business Solutions practice, designing and executing initiatives that position the firm as a forward-looking, full-service partner to high-growth clients.
With experience in recruiting and retention, Alex has built high-performing teams by aligning roles, developing existing team member expertise, and building a culture to support business strategy: reducing turnover, increasing capacity for advisory work, and strengthening team engagement. In her time with the CAS team, they've grown from a team of 25 to 75; expanding service offerings and team expertise in that time. She has spearheaded the CAS practice's technology transformation, championing a tech-forward model that leverages cloud platforms, automation and data insights to streamline workflows, enhance value delivery, and reduce risk by selecting a preferred technology stack and aligning client service and team training to build efficiency.
Recognizing the shift from compliance toward advisory, Alex architected a differentiated advisory practice within the firm. She developed scalable service lines around CFO-level offerings, real-time business insights and strategic vendor relationships. She/Her work in pricing strategy has enabled the firm to move away from WIP-based billing and adopt value-based models to improve profitability.
On the operations and client-strategy front, Alex has standardized processes, metrics and client-segment strategy to ensure the firm delivers differentiated value at scale. By developing a client acceptance process for CAS services, both client and team member experiences with new service onboarding and on-going engagement has improved. Her leadership emphasizes alignment of firm capabilities with client priorities, clear service-level agreements, and the internal systems required to support growth without sacrificing quality.
